Kids love cardboard boxes – and this simple insight sparked a highly successful direct mail campaign for Volvo. 
Aiming its message at family drivers, Volvo offered anyone who took a test drive the chance to win a giant cardboard Volvo Play Car. This led to potential customers retaining a large advert for Volvo in their living room for months after the test drive. Customers were also encouraged to upload pictures of their family with the Play Car to their social accounts. Many did so and this even led to us hearing that toy stores were being asked if they stocked cardboard Volvo Play Cars.
